Open University and Bangla Housing Association

This is for an ongoing research project into elderly Bangladeshi people's housing situation in collaboration with the Open University and the Bangla Housing Association https://www.banglaha.org.uk/

This meeting was held over the summer, and the next meeting will be in November. It will be interesting to see how the project develops, it's great to be involved in a longer term project, rather than just being parachuted in for the day and then never seeing anyone again!

The lady in green was also used to recruit more people to get involved in the project. Such a friendly smiley crowd, and some delicious food for lunch :)

Image with Bengali translation to attract more people to take part in the research project.

Children's Trust Board, London Borough of Merton

I listened to an online meeting and then created a graphic record of this annual meeting.

The image will be blown up to a large poster size and put on the office wall to remind and inspire people in their day to day working lives - of all the great work done, and everything still to come!

Addressing the AI Skills gap in the UK, AI in Health and Transport

I'm working at a research workshop tomorrow all about AI, the skills gap and looking at future scenarios in the healthcare and transport sector, so have done a bit of limbering up to get in the right frame of mind.

AI has been in the news a lot in the past few weeks, with ChatGBT and the development of software that creates images from text or a brief description.

Will us scribes and illustrators still have a job in the next few years...? Maybe I'll find out tomorrow!

Camden Evening and Night Time Citizens Assembly

On Saturday I was asked to come and listen to a gathering of Camden residents as they came up with ideas for their vibrant borough. Camden has so much going on at night, but this was a chance for other voices to be heard. More on this to come!

Delphix - Customer event

I was recently working in the city, for a tech company called Delphix. They serve banks and other companies including Channel 4, behind the scenes of their websites, the wonderful world of DevOps.

As they had a photographer to capture their day they took a few of me too. Thanks to Aoife at Delphix and the friendly team, it was an afternoon of cake and laughter as well as a chance for people to get together, which is long overdue.

Live work - in action

Please press play twice for the film to play!

This work was for a local council in southwest London. The brief was to capture the first meeting of the council after a hiatus of 2 years, and to help communicate their new aims and objectives. Thanks to Toby Ross for passing on this speeded up short film of a few hours' worth of me live scribing.

Sound Connections - Inclusive Practice in Action

Day 2 of this powerful and moving conference, all about race and racism and how it affects children in music education. A group of educators and musicians came together to discuss this subject and learn from each other.

More on Sound Connections here: https://www.sound-connections.org.uk/

Thanks to John Kelly: http://www.rockinpaddy.com/ for asking Abi D'Amore to get me involved!
