Healthy Weight Hackney - London Scribing

Had a great day recently in Hackney, this was a multi-agency meeting to create a 'movement' to inspire and promote healthy lives in Hackney.

The council wanted stories and input from local people in order to get to the heart of what will motivate people and what the real drivers are. I was there to capture the energy and ideas on the day, and as a starting point to build on.

Scribing at Peckham Levels, London

This week I was working at a great venue, a regenerated car park in south London:

https://www.peckhamlevels.org/

This was for Southwark council. They wanted to get closer to families and find out what 'helped' and what got in the way, as well as how parents/carers and their children can get more involved and shape the services they need.

I started by putting up the title...

and the evening was a bit of a whirlwind so only managed another pic right at the end!

Thanks to Beatrice Baumgartner-Cohen for the referral.

New Citizenship Project & Bath University, Live Graphic Recording

I was asked to capture a fast-paced workshop at the University of Bath for the very engaged and passionate organisation 'New Citizenship Project':

They used an 'appreciative enquiry' approach in order to dig deep and find out about what motivated people to get involved in the student union and how the students would like to shape things in future.

It was great to hear from the next generation and there were many very inspiring and uplifting stories!

Thanks to the NCP for asking me to get involved.

Visual Minutes for 'The Network' London

Earlier in the year I was live scribing for The Network. This is an internal organisation within the Home Office for black, asian and minority ethnic staff (and their friends!) to share ideas and information and support each other, while they are working for the Home Office.

This year's annual meeting was the 18th one, so it's truly come of age. The venue was at the Oval cricket ground, London.

The image was laminated so that it could go on a road trip to spread the work of the network and keep the conversation going:

Thanks to Sarah Boulton from Realise for asking me to cover this event:

Scribing for Children's Services, Bexley, London

Over the last 2 years I've been working with Bexley Children's services as they encourage their staff to aim higher and recruit and retain good people, while changing behaviours and trying new ways of tackling difficult issues.

After this summer's Ofsted inspection they have been declared 'Outstanding'!

It's been so inspiring to hear the stories of people who've been through the care system and then thrived.

I've been really impressed by the way the live graphics I've drawn have been embraced and used systemically to communicate and reinforce messages for looked after children.
