Murals for Hackney Council
Hackney council's Public Health department asked me to create four images to be displayed as 'stair murals' internally on their flights of stairs.
The brief was to represent Hackney in all its diversity and variety, showcasing what the borough has to offer, the theme of 'wellbeing' and also to include enough detail to keep people coming back to the murals and the stairs.
So here are four great things about Hackney - London Fields Lido, the 38 bus, the glorious Hackney Empire, and the ever energetic Ridley Road market:
And here they are installed in March 2017.
I hope the vinyls stand the test of time, and some serious footfall!

Graphic Recording in Madrid
Last week I was working at a sales conference in Madrid, creating visual minutes with Federica Ciotti and Beatrice Baumgartner-Cohen.
As well as working big, we also produced A4 sketchnotes. These work well when a client doesn't want a drawing 'performance' to distract from the main focus of the speakers.
It was also great to visit Madrid, a wonderful city.
If you go, I recommend staying in the Huerta district.

Empathy Illustrations for The Happy Newspaper
This time of year, with the short days and cold nights, can be a trial. If you know someone who is suffering, then empathy (not sympathy) is one way to make them feel supported.
For more information on this and other uplifting stories, get your mitts on the recent edition of 'The Happy Newspaper':
